The 238th United States Marine Corps Birthday Ball was held on November 23, 2013 at the Portman Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Shanghai.  It was a glorious occasion with 180 people enjoying 1421 wines with their dinners.  Following some touching commendations about the history and contributions of the United States Marine Corps, the Marine Security Guard Detachment Color Guard presented the Marine Corps Birthday Cake and sliced it with a sword and everyone got a piece.  All the happy revelers enjoyed their dinners followed by dancing to popular music.  It was a great night for the United States Marines and their guests, and a great night for 1421 wines.  We were proud to participate!  CHEERS to the United States Marines!
