On November 12, 2011 Hilton Beijing threw their 14th annual food and wine bash called Vinopolitan, Hilton Beijing FOOD & WINE Experience XIV. Their press materials said "Come and indulge at Beijing's finest food and wine event of the year. Experience 'Vinopolitan' with hundreds of food samples and thousands of wines from China's finest suppliers."

Beijing Summit Wines Limited participated with a booth where hundreds of people lined up to try a taste of our 1421 brand of fine wines from Xinjiang Province, China.

Offered to the public were 2 series of 1421 wines, Silver and Admiral's Reserve, both available in Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Silver wines are sold directly through our Headquarters in Beijing to Hotels and top restaurants, and are delivered from our Beijing warehouse.

1421 Admiral's Reserve wines are the world's first traceable Chinese wines. As a new national brand, 1421 sets new standards for both the Chinese wine industry and consumers. This is just the beginning of the real taste of China because we are faithful to our terroir. The traceability system is a supply chain solution developed by METRO China's Star Farm initiative, which is a quality control program incorporating international standards such as Global Good Agricultural Practice (GLOBAL GAP) and International Featured Standards (IFS). Star Farm's traceability system records all stages of production, processing, and distribution from the vineyards to the shelf in the stores. Consumers can scan the traceable barcode with their mobile phone on the wine label and learn the whole process. 1421 Admiral's Reserve traceable wines are sold only through METRO stores and they have a hotel and restaurant (HORECA) program.

Our wines were received enthusiastically and the tasters were surprised that such fresh, fruity, and clean wines are being made in China.

In conjunction with the event, blogger Jim Boyce (Beijing Boyce and The Grape Wall of China) conducted The Grape Wall, North by Northwest China Wine Challenge, a Chinese wine competition, in which 3 of our wines participated: 1421 Admiral's Reserve Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1421 Silver Chardonnay.
